The New School is a small, private, independent, not-for-profit elementary school established in 1988 by parents and educators.
The school was established in order to help children grow into healthy adults and lifelong learners, able to make choices and decisions. We recognize that children learn best in a community where they are safe and valued.
Parents and family members are active participants in their child's learning and in the administration of the school. At the New School we view children as unique individuals with their own patterns and timing for growth.
Exploration is considered an important vehicle for children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
The curriculum reflects the natural connections between all subjects and is responsive to children's interest and needs.
